Security Guard Training – BST & CGSB


Commissionaires Victoria, the Islands and Yukon (CVIY) is an approved security guard training provider in the Province of British Columbia. You will receive instruction in our  training academy led by experienced, professional instructors.

Our guards are trained to the federal Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) requirements for security guard training.

Basic SecurityTraining (40 Hrs.)

Supervisor's Course (64 Hrs.)

Selected Commissionaires who have sufficient on the job experience and have demonstrated the requisite supervisory potential will be provided with the Supervisor’s Course in preparation for filling a supervisor position.
